BAR TREASURES: CLASSICS OF SPECULATIVE CINEMA

The illegitimate love-child of BAR TRASH, BAR TREASURES is my monthly cinema social event that projects the classics of speculative cinema, across sci-fi, fantasy and horror. Sci-fi series ATOMIC ORIGINS is currently screening in the Members Bar at Finsbury Park Picturehouse (you don’t need to be a member to come!). For adults aged 18+ only.

BAR TREASURES launched with a series of seven ANIME CLASSICS at Rule Zero in Hackney Wick (RIP). These were the films that introduced Japanese animation to the world, including: MEMORIES, GHOST IN THE SHELL, TOKYO GODFATHERS, COWBOY BEBOP: THE MOVIE, METROPOLIS, STEAMBOY, and PAPRIKA. Our closing event was GAMERA, GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE in July 2024.
