Ronald Neame’s multiple Oscar-winning THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972) starts like CARRY ON CRUISING (casting Leslie Nielsen as the doomed ship’s captain doesn’t help…), but soon takes a dramatic – upside down – turn, becoming the quintessential 1970s disaster movie done right. 

Featuring an excellent ensemble cast – including several Oscar winners – THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE was partly filmed aboard the retired luxury ocean liner RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. Now you can experience the ultimate escape-room thriller onboard the atmospheric setting of Theatreship. All survivors are invited to join Token Homo in the venue bar afterwards to celebrate the star-studded world of 1970s disaster movies.

Queer-led, CRUISING promotes inclusion through accessible programming, vibrant hosting, radical film histories, and a diverse lineup of guests with their own distinctive voices. All films are served with intros, intermissions, and post-screening conversations. For adults aged 18+ only.
