CATEGORY H FILM CLUB takes over BAR TRASH as part of our International Women’s Day Weekender (08 & 09 March 2025), raising money for menstrual equity charity, Bloody Good Period.

“Arguably the greatest and most graphic vampire film ever made” (Arrow Films), VAMPYRES aka Daughters of Darkness (1974) continues our BAR TRASH: CELLULOID JAM season, celebrating 50 years of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (1975).

Filmed at Oakley Court in Bray — the looming Victorian Gothic country house used as Frank N Furter’s castle in THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and a number of Hammer horrors — VAMPYRES offers a veritable feast of bare flesh and crimson arterial spray. Starring Marianne Morris and Anulka Dziubinska, Spanish director José Ramón Larraz’s fantastically lurid cocktail of cohabiting lesbians with an insatiable blood-lust challenges the Brit Horror status-quo.

Presented by Molly Miles (they/them) and Scary Claire (she/her), CATEGORY H FILM CLUB specialises in late night horror double bills with unexpected pairings and DIY screenings. Fully themed around topics such as worms, computers, and necrophilia, CATEGORY H FILM CLUB is a friendly environment for horror film fans and newcomers to the genre alike.
