Bringing together the Zodiac Film Club focus on good-looking films and complex female characters with Token Homo’s enthusiasm for queer, cult, and curious cinema, GIRL TRASH is a celebration of the femme filmmakers of trash and exploitation cinema, bursting with catsuits, chaos and charisma.
Whether as actors, writers or directors, women in film who embrace the salacious are rarely taken seriously. But not here! With each film we’ve curated, we celebrate a filmmaker (or several) whose career embraced schlock, splatter and cheap thrills aplenty. Our GIRL TRASH GODDESSES neither asked for permission nor wanted forgiveness.
Forget the glass ceiling. Ours is mirrored – and splattered with blood!
We announced the full programme at our sold out opening night screening of MURDERCISE (2023) on Wednesday 21 January 8:45pm at Genesis Cinema (full programme listed below). GIRL TRASH! screens every Wednesday at Genesis until 15 April 2026. Tickets are £3.50 + fees or save ££ on your first beverage with a cocktail combo.
Elsewhere, BAR TRASH continues with SATANIC PANIC! at Finsbury Park Picturehouse (in their Club Room), Beer Merchants Tap, and a new Saturday night venue (to be revealed…). Populating your weekends with spine-tingling tales from a time when the world lost its mind and blamed Satan for our sins, SATANIC PANIC! screens on some Saturdays and every Sunday from 18 January to 12 April 2026 (opening night film THE BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN is booking now). Tickets remain £5 to £8 + fees.
