The film might not have been banned as a Video Nasty in the UK but it was deemed to be so shocking that it was denied a wide global release.

A gripping and unsettling thriller that exposes moral panic, conspiracies and scapegoating in a corrupt conservative community, DON’T TORTURE A DUCKLING features brutal violence amidst disturbing themes of misogyny, mental health, child murder, and paedophilia that are critical of the Catholic Church. DON’T TORTURE A DUCKLING is widely regarded today as Fulci’s greatest film, rivalling the best of Dario Argento.
