Queer Horror Nights invites you into our cursed cinema for a night of extravagant 1980s gore, pounding rock music, and some unexpected 4D thrills as we turn up the terror… This is our annual Halloween Monsters Ball, so #bringyourfreak with our ‘costume, kink and fetish-friendly’ dress code (or just come as you are). Strictly 18+ only!!!

HALLOWEEN MONSTERS BALL

Lamberto Bava and Dario Argento’s DEMONS (1985) is a transgressive slice of gore-heavy shock cinema that assaults the audience with a riot of X-rated violence. Perfect for midnight, DEMONS abandons storytelling logic and enters its own nightmare realm… 

Experience this infamous Italian splatter film (in English) with your horror hosts, drag king Loose Willis (Slay Station, Fist Club), film fanatic Token Homo (Bar Trash), and drag creature Co Kendrah (Torture Garden, Recon Cabaret).

DEMONS is a movie about audience participation… Our show will contain additional shock effects and sequences of extreme gore. WARNING: You will not be alone in the auditorium.

We promise, the prizes for the freakiest looks will be utterly fabulous and will bear no resemblance to the cheap plastic turds we gave away at FEMALE TROUBLE…”.

BRING YOUR FREAK!

This is a costume, kink and fetish-friendly event, so come in Halloween costume, or gear-up to watch the film in your kink and fetish attire (just cover your bits so we don’t stain the seats!). Of course, regular clothes are fine too… Changing facilities provided from open to close (10PM to 2AM).

PRE-DRINKS (10PM to 11:30PM):

Hang out with your horror hosts in the Rio bar before the film, browse our lovely Queer Horror Nights merch stall, get a temporary tattoo in our pop-up salon, grab a souvenir snap in our ‘Photo My Freak’ booth, or linger in our basement Grindhouse Cinema for Token Homo’s trailer trash.

FILM SHOW (11:30PM to 2AM):

Enter our ‘Carnival of the Creatures’ with prizes for the freakiest looks. Then, we will be presenting DEMONS with an intro by Token Homo, voiceover by Loose Willis, and interval gore show by Co Kendrah. Our night ends with a Survivor’s Photo on the main stage (if there are any…).
