Dubbed “Mr B.I.G.” by veteran editor/collector Forrest J. Ackerman, Gordon earned his reputation by making everything larger than life, super-sizing his movie monsters in a distinctive run of low-budget feature films throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Gordon continued working late in life before passing away earlier this year at an appropriately super-sized 100 years of age.

THE FOOD OF THE GODS is one of the true legends of pulp horror cinema, delivering a riot of superimposed VFX, practical puppets, and marauding rats on miniature sets. The film also features an appearance from pioneering actor/director Ida Lupino (THE HITCH-HIKER) – the only woman to ever direct an episode of the original TWILIGHT ZONE series.
