Queer Horror Nights are coming to London in 2022! The first season is Q-RATED!, a celebration of horror movies directed by queer filmmakers.
Last Frame Club and Token Homo are proud to be launching #QueerHorrorNights, a new film club in London devoted to queer, cult and classic horror films. Queer Horror Nights is both a celebration of the darker side of cinema and a welcoming queer community space to share our love of badly-behaved movies.
Our first year-long season is titled Q-RATED!, a celebration of horror movies made by out queer directors. Expect thrills, chills, expert introductions, talent Q&As, special events, and bar socials after every screening. The season is supported by an (ir)regular newsletter (link in bio) and a series of mini zines exploring the background of every film and filmmaker.
Films will range from the rise of the ‘classic’ movie monsters in Hollywood’s heyday, to more recent visions of horror from the self-funded indie fringes of film production. Q-RATED! will tell a story of how out, queer directors have worked deep in the guts of the genre to forge its founding myths and re-imagine its most celebrated creations, whilst all-too-often fighting the censorship and suppression of their twisted fantasies.
